Ganguly left out of final Pakistan match

India captain Saurav Ganguly has been left out of the side for the sixth and final one-dayer against Pakistan in New Delhi on Sunday despite being available pending an appeal over his six-match ban.

The 32-year-old, already under fire because of his poor batting form, was banned by International Cricket Council match referee Chris Broad for his team's repeated slow over rate following Tuesday's defeat in game four in Ahmedabad.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) asked him not to play in Friday's fifth match in Kanpur to avoid the team losing focus and his deputy Rahul Dravid was named as captain.

The board has again not included him for the final match but did not say whether it was because of his poor form or to keep continuity.

Opening batsman Shahid Afridi smashed a 46-ball 102 to give Pakistan a five-wicket victory in Kanpur for a 3-2 series lead.
